Sixth Incision [Voice, Action]
[Action, Part One]
[It's been several days since the Kin'Corans have returned home -- several days in which Syre has been oddly at ease with herself.]
[Today, however, she feels... anxious. antsy, even.]
[The rush of recently arrived New Feathers make her want to go out and about, possibly get acquainted with some of the new faces. Of course, anyone she already knows is free to bump into her, as well!]
[Voice]
[Later in the evening, she sets up a feed for a little voice chat.]
Good evening, friends and New Feathers -- that is to say, anyone that has just recently arrived to our fine enclosure... My name is Syre Atries.
Rather than waste your time with a wordy introduction, I'd like to pose a question.
Are any of you interested in the sciences? Biology, specifically. I've been wanting to get back to my research as of late, and it's quite hard to hold a discussion when there are so few that enjoy it as much as I do...
[Action, Part Two]
[Then, later that night, Syre is going to be roaming about the plaza. More specifically, she's going to be people watching -- the few people that are out and about at this time of night will not be spared her studious, almost analytical gaze.]
[Those of you that notice her watching are free to question why she's staring at you like a scientist would study a lab rat, of course.]

[Voice]
A bit of a... turbulent place, really.
[Voice]
[Voice]
Tensions were running quite high in the capitol.
[Voice]
What sort of research are you working on? I do have a working knowledge of basic biology, at least among humans, and a few other sapient species in my home galaxy.
[Voice]
Apologies for the delay; I was checking where my notes ended.
It's been a while since I've dedicated some time to my research, but my last session involved the effects of various substances on humanoid -- in a more specific case, Caenin -- functions.
Knowledge on humans and those that are familiar to you would be most appreciated [--considering she's got no unfortunate victims of her own to vivisect and study--], if you'd be so willing to share.
[Voice]
And I'd also like to know what you intend to use the research for?
[Voice]
When I was still at home, I had been researching ways to improve the body's natural functions through various medicines -- to much acclaim, thankfully. I was just wanting to continue this research, in the slim hopes that the Malnosso would allow me to keep that knowledge when I depart the enclosure.
[Voice]
[He laughs]
Improve them in what way?
[Voice]
[Voice]
[Voice]
Right now, I'm focusing my efforts on my home country, since all Ecliptians are at least a little versed in the art of alchemy, but once I've established something there I plan on helping the other nations develop something similar.
[Voice----Video]
The reason I ask is because regenerating limbs in humans isn't something even my culture has managed, and we travel among the stars.
[He raises a hand and turns on a video feed, pulling back the glove on his right hand to reveal a cybernetic implant]
I know from experience.
[Such marvels of technology, replacing that which has failed in biology...]
Ah, I should have figured that the question would come up eventually.
Alchemy in my home nation is quite a bit different from the kind found in human worlds.
By offering a portion of our lifespan -- chi, life force, soul, or whatever other term you choose to use -- we can create objects from different kinds of matter quite easily.
...I could show you, if you'd like.
[Luke laughs]
But don't strain yourself. And if its something you'd prefer to do in person, I can meet you somewhere.
[...not entirely true, but it's really not that big a deal!]
Was there any place you had in mind then, Sir Skywalker? Anywhere is fine with me.
That sounds splendid. Just give me a few minute to get some things gathered, and I'll be there right away.
[As good as his word, he's there in five minutes tops]
[Action]
[Once she spots the Jedi, she makes a beeline toward him, setting her bag on the ground and offering her hand in a proper introduction.]
Sorry for my delay, Sir Skywalker. I was getting my bag ready. Have you been waiting long?
[Action]
[He laughs, and smiles warmly, while his senses tingle slightly. This woman...feels off.]
Miss Atries, I have a bit of a strange question. You are not human, yes?
[Action]
[A warm smile in response, followed by a soft laugh of her own.]
You would indeed be correct. My people very much resemble humans, but from what I've noticed, our biological systems are a touch different.
[Action]
[Luke shrugs]
It makes no difference to me, you just appear different in the Force, so I wanted to hazard a guess and hope that my senses weren't being interfered with again.
[Action]
[A polite nod, then a moment of quiet confusion before she asks:]
'The Force'? Is... Is that your world's version of magic?
Re: [Action]
[He holds up a hand to demonstrate, as he had to Loki a few days before, a trash can levitating in the air between them before being set down neatly]
There are more applications of the Force, but thats the most easy to show.
